Albania 2019

As a part of our workshopweek we traveled through Albania in late 2019 to document the current situation with the river Vjosa.

Even after concuring communism, Albania counts as one of the poorest countries in Europe. One fourth of its population are currently living in poverty. Many people try to take their chance at a better life by completely moving away to a different country.

After the 2019 trip when we were mainly location scouting, this year we are focused on documenting the (future) construction sites and visiting the people living in the affected area. Not only did we see many incredible natural wonders, but we also made friends with the people who live there...
